Rolex Crown

I've looked into many models and see a trend that is not consistent. I wonder why they use the following to differentiate each model? Is one better than the other?

What's the difference between the three dots "..." underneath the Rolex Logo, vs. the underscore "_" underneath the Rolex Logo on the crown of each watch?

Can someone further elaborate on the difference between twinlock and triplock? Thanks!

The triplock has an extra rubber seal as opposed to the twinlock..
Or 3 instead of 2!
Most of the new sport line has the Triplock!
If I can find the diagram I'll post it!

The three dots with the larger center dot means a White gold model
The three dots where the two outside dots are bigger and the middle dot is smaller means a platinum model...
The three same size dots means a stainless model...
That way you can tell the difference between platinum white gold and steel because they all
look similar as opposed to rose or yellow gold which can only be that.

I think...I have to look for that post with the breakdown...

The first is the Triplock with the extra o-ring on the outside of the case tube.

Everyday is a school day!

I knew 3 dots indicated triplock but never noticed the difference in the size of the dots

Thanks for posting the diagram guys, a picture paints a thousand words!
