Nick, beautiful job as expected but..silly question; what about the bezel? Do you have to replace/can you replace on an EII? I've often wondered, so now I can ask.

The only bezel I can't refinish is Yachtmaster's bezel but then again, even authorized Rolex service send them to Switzerland for refinishing.

Cheers, Nick and thanks. Nice post; keep 'em coming.

Hi Nick,

You make it look easy.

What grade of paper or method do you use to get the brushed finish.

Eddie.

Excellent post Nick
I was wondering if it was preferable to perform the polishing of the side of the case without or without the bezel fitted (not that I have either the skill or the daring to try it)?
I really like the very fine sand paper, never seen that fine stuff before.
Excellent finishing result, and as I said very interesting material.

Nick,
Great info. Nice to see how it's done right. Not sure I'd try it myself but still very informative. Your photos add a great deal as well.
Can't wait for more.

Ok, Nick how about some info on how to Brush out steel? For those of us who want to touch up our brushed steel bracelets, or turn the polished center links into brushed steel like original oyster bracelets? thanks.

Great stuff, Nick! So glad you're here to give us free tutorials! I'd like to see what you could do with Adams' watch. What would you use on an acrylic crystal with no appreciable scratches? Just to shine it up?

Wow I am impressed Nick. All of your posts have great value to me and I enjoy viewing or learning more about the Rolex watch from your perspective.

I cant wait to see how to refinish a bracelet. I have a rookie mistake: polished my oyster bracelet with a polishing cloth thinking the black stuff on the toerl was dirt, little did I know I was removing some of the brushed effect. I would love to know how to get rid of these light swirls from the polished center pieces too. While your at it I would love to know how you clean a Rolex for general use.

I might try this with my ipod.

As for my rolex, probably going to leave it up to RSC every few years.
