Q.hi lovely looking watch,certainly quite old but certainly genuine i'll bid,and will prob get outbid but will hope for the best rolexes this old hardly ever replicated,this new ones are obviously im not a watch expert just like watches this one look a tresure i hope i win good luck,beautiful item

A. Hi and thanks a lot for the email. It's good to hear someone else vouching for it's authenticity. I have handled the piece several times in the past few months and, for what it's worth, it feels like a solid piece of quality. But it's the only Rolex i've ever handled, so what do i know...! I also had the same thought about copying old Rolexes: It seems like something no-one would bother doing, when they can get loads more money for the same effort copying new models. I wish you the best of luck in your bidding.
