Older GMT Pepsi vs New Sub date

Hello all, it's been a long time since I have been on the Forum. I have a newer Sub date with an Oyster bracelet but am really thinking of selling it & going to an older GMT Pepsi with a Jubilee bracelet. I just really like that "old school" look. Any opinions/thoughts from anyone? Also, could I switch from an Oyster to a Jubilee bracelet on my newer Sub? Thanks, & keep on tickin'.

Interesting question. My thoughts . . .

I have always thought there are Sub guys and GMT guys--of course, there is a crossover to some extent, but fundamentally many of us Rolex fans identify with the Sub or the GMT.

Now, I am a GMT guy, and one of my favorite watches ever is the Pepsi with the jubilee. I think it is a slam dunk of a combination. So . . .

Absolutely, IMHO, pick up that Pepsi with the jubilee.

GMT with a Jubilee is a pretty classic look..........

You can put a Jubilee on a Sub, but I'm not sure if that would be an enhancement for that model..

GMTII - OK, so it's not that old (D-Series) and it's not on a Jubilee...but I share your enthusiasm!

That's funny - I'm contemplating selling my very freshly Rolex serviced 8.4 serial 16750 (for which I have both black and pepsi bezel inserts) to buy a ceramic sub. No bracelet though....

And I'm in British Columbia...and I'm a dyed in the wool 911 man!

The old GMT is uber cool; I prefer the oyster bracelet though.

You'll be losing thousands in the swap though.

How about giving yourself some time to warm up to the new Subbie?

Wow, quite the response...............certainly seems like the Pepsi takes it. Now I really have to contemplate selling the Sub for a Pepsi with a jubilee bracelet. Thank you all for your responses. Maybe Jasper & I can put something together.

I love my GMT on the jubilee. Ultra comfortable and a different look for sure.

I would defiantly keep the Sub and save funds for the older version of the GMT!
I have always loved the possibility of changing inserts from a stealthy Black to the classic Pepsi/Coke

Definitely Pepsi gets my vote...

I may be a bit biased, but I would definitely go for the vintage GMT Pepsi. The matte dials are very understated, and the combo with the jubilee is a classic.
If I had both, and I'm considering it, I would use the sub for my everyday rugged work watch, and the GMT Pepsi as the watch for special occasions.
