Lume Defect

I have a pin size glowing dot on the corner of my seconds hand lume circle. The watch is a 14060M Sub.

Anyone else had this appear before?

First is this pin size dot visible with the naked eye or are you using a high magnifying loupe.

Isn't it amaizing how we look at our watches with magnifying glasses and loupes, and find the most intricate issues to panic over....I've had two or more of these attacks with each watch I've purchased. A trip to the AD seems to always clear it up though. Congrats on a great watch. Enjoy it in good health

Indeed, I have wanted this watch forever and now that I have it I pick it apart.

Crazy how that happens.

take it to your AD mate, they will fix it for you,as it just appeared I wouldn't want to leave it just in case it was to happen somewhere else on the dial.

Look for trouble...and you'll probably find it. Personally, I'd ignore it but do what you feel is best.

If this a fairly new watch & it's running properly it might be prudent to leave it as is. I'm not inclined to have an AD open the case for something minor. But, keep an eye on it - if the 'speck' moves around, it might get into the mvt. Above all, enjoy!

I can just about see what you are talking about, I think!

As for the people who say look for problems and you will find them, that sorta annoys me. You paid a lot of money for your watch and you say you wanted it forever which I totally understand, therefore you expect the watch to be perfect. Which it isn't.

I have seen a lot of dial defects on this forum and to me its not acceptable in the slightest.

If I bought a brand new car and it had a defect on the paint would I just ignore it because no one is perfect? Hell no! Id take it back and demand it be fixed to MY satisfaction.

Hope you get it sorted out.

Im my experience the AD wont open the watch. It will get sent straight to the RSC.

Are ADs even allowed to work on the watch whilst its under waranty??

I agree,I know it's hard for Rolex to send out 100% pertect watches every time but if one does show up then no harm in getting it fixed, and these people that say it could cause more trouble than the repair the watch is in for makes me ,are they really saying that they don't trust the watchmaker that made their watch to fix the repair? if it was my watch and it came back not 100% correct it would go back again but I trust Rolex or I wouldn't buy into them.
