I think even if Rolex started selling them at $39K, Rolex will have a hard time... if that's the case, then these clowns don't have a snowball chance in hell of selling these....

This was posted before and it's a total scam as the Explorer as we know it has nothing at all to do with the expeditions to Mount Everest.
The Explorer as we know it is an homage to that feat. If someone wants to pay the price, that's okay by me, but there's no way that they will get what's being ostensibly advertised.

By the way, these people have executed these so-called homages before. A year back or so it was the "Single Red Deepsea" -- they clearly see red as the ticket to untold riches. The link to their previous site is HERE. And here's a pic of that watch...

A bit more information. Wondering who was behind these so-called homages, I researched the registrations for the three domain names (hillaryexplorer.com, hillarytenzingexplorer.com, and singlereddeepsea.com) and found that they belong to someone named Norbert Kramer in the Netherlands. Here's the publicly available contact information:

And one more bit of information. It turns out that the $39,000 package consists of three altered Rolex wristwatches with the memorabilia. It takes a whole hell of a lot of digging on that site to figure out what the heck they're doing, and I'm still not entirely clear. Here's the excerpt:

One more possibility. And I'm tired of research.
