At the bar at the club on Saturday, taking a break from setting up the boat (hey, any excuse for a beer! ).

An older member sitting next to me was wearing a TT DJ. A couple of sideways peeks at it confirmed the tick-tick-tick of the second hand. A cheap quartz fake. Oh well, not my place to comment on it, but I was a bit disappointed in the wearer.

I must admit and say I once bought a replica, a very good one, the reason being is that I always wanted a rolex sub date and the thought of spending $7000 aus for one scared me. When I buy something I research the life out of it, I bought the replica as part of the research, how will it feel, the weight, the size. A replica made me want to buy a real one. Quite truthfully There is a difference but not much. I was also much more relaxed with the Replica on my wrist, I didn't have to worry about sratches etc.

I don't wear the replica any more, in fact I wear my Tag F1 as a day watch because I flipped the LV and I don't want to wear the 5513 as a daily watch.

I really really want a Dweller (if my wrist allows) or maybe a sub no date. (if my wrist is too thin)

Do you think others should buy one as a "test drive" or just as a reminder to save?

Actually, thats a good question. Weren't there some early models that were realitively indistinguisable from their DJ counterparts?

after owning my current DJ i actually thought that if i were to buy another watch it wouldn't be a real one, would rather buy a fake or something i can wear without fearing for scratches something i used to do for my cds. my heart always skips a beat whenever my hand bumps against something and i bump into stuff all the time.

Are you referring to the Tru-Beat?

I don't think that the Tru-Beat was offered as a Date-Just.

Nahh, it was a fake. Wasn't there a version of the DateJust back in the day that was housed in an OysterQuartz type case and integrated bracelet? That'd be the one for me, I love that case/bracelet setup.

One more page and this will be a ten-pager.

That doesn't rhyme with:
"ten - sive."

Does it?

It didn't last time I looked.

BTW, I don't know what your page set up is like, but I've only got 5 pages for this thread.

Isn't this page formatting supposed to be the SAME for all of us? I've got 167.

the service advisor that fixed my car was wearing the fakest rolex i have ever seen in my life! he made sure durring the transaction that he flashed it to me a couple of times cause i was wearing my LV SUB. He then asked me if the Green Bezel'ed sub was a cheaper version. I bit my tongue sooo hard because I was going to ask him how much that fake cost him.

i just stopped talking to him about it because any other word that was going to come out of his mouth...i would have said "hey bud...save up some money and buy a real rolex!"

I would be concerned they are using knock off parts in your car

You must have really had to bite your tongue hard. However, I definitely agree that you wouldn't want to make a point about yours being authentic right as you are turning the car in for a service estimate!!!

That number is the, "post number."

Is that also the format number?

Can you can the amount of posts displayed on a page?

Does your screen size dictate the number of displayed pages?

This content might be better in a new thread specifically addressing forum settings.

The last one is definitely no, I have two computers on 3 monitors and there hasn't been a change.
