This topic is interesting..but there are many who prefur to buy a Daytona from an AD and not here on the site no matter the discount..something about buying from the AD makes ii special!!!
Any good AD will get on the computer and find one for a good customer....like mine did....
It is also true that some models are very difficult to come by in some countrys..like the UK and Italy as I have been told (SS Daytonas)...Some models are readily available in some countrys but in others not...

My AD had at least 5 Daytona's for sale, white Face SS Daytona was not one of them. Rose Gold in the display was absolutely beautiful, but there's a waiting list for the SS.
SS Daytona is still a very hard find and no discount's are given that I have found.

Mayors in my town had a special event night back in oh...October or November. Unfortunately, I was out of town and missed it. But, the salesperson had told me that there was going to be a raffle that evening and the winner could buy a daytona at MSRP but they had to make the purchase that night! A win win for for Mayors and a crappy prize. Would have been nicer if they said 24 mos no interest also. What a crappy prize for most people. Leave it to Mayors to give you snow in the winter! BRRRRR. That store leaves me chilly, no warm and fuzzy feelings for them!

I have called a few AD's recently looking for a watch for my wife and after they realized i was really going to buy a watch each one ofthem mentioned that they had a ss Daytona in stock if I was interested.

They seem pretty available now.

I doubt I would ever buy a watch from an AD again after re-discovering this board.
