I am a huge fan of sushi...... but it can get VERY expensive with a lot of people.

But Gus....... I will go wherever you say.

Good point, Pav!! I trust our NY TRF contigent on securing a solid place to meet.

In other words....I'm game where ever it is depending on which day though.

I'd love to come along, except I already made plans to spend the day with a friend visiting from out of town. Could this possibly be an earlyish lunch?

Looks like our NYC GTG idea is finally picking up some steam.... and hopefully Wed 29th is still good for most based on the replies. Please say otherwise...

Hopefully, the snow will not be a big challenge by then.

Here is the list of TRFers who are confirmed or almost confirmed:

onkyo
FremStar
wehttaM
kyle L
Lamone
Watch Professor
TattooedGQ
R1@160@alltimes
hh605
RRY
p_surabhi

Please spread the word out through PM's as well to members that you know live in the area.. I am not sure if the "Meeting point" is viewed by many...

Below are my thoughts for the venue:

1) Let's keep it closer to any subway line as many of us will be using public transport. Thanks to the blizzard, things are already complicated ...

2) Let's stay away from any tourist hotspots..

3) If all of us appreciate good Beer, we can go to a Belgium bar with tons of great beers on tap or a German Bier Garden.

I am happy to make some suggestions based on the responses...

Please chime in..

P.S - Can someone please volunteer to bring a nice camera to capture the awesome evening and then share it with fellow...

Sounds good, but my brother and I are both underage so I don't know about the beer thing. My dad would go though, and I would be more than happy to bring a camera.

How about Brother Jimmy's ? Kyle and his bro can enjoy the Ribs and we can enjoy both the Ribs and beer...

They have multiple locations in the city but prefer Murray Hill or Upper East.

What do you think fellas?

If streetside parking in the city is still an issue by tomorrow then it will be a no show for me. Commuting from NJ via trains off hours is not my thing.

Will confirm by tomorrow.

I not sure about Manhattan..... but Brooklyn is still a nightmare to drive through and parking is not possible (unless middle of the street counts). My car is probably going to be stuck this whole week.... So subway for me.

Yeah, there is a cab just stuck in the middle of the road so the plows didn't even come where I am. Subway for me too.
