FAKE or real ROLEX 5513 ebay U.K.
item number 250739737541
Does this watch look right to you? the crown tube looks out of line with the case, if you look at the dial, bezel and bracelet end links, also the back case looks wrong for a 1960s watch to me? This seller also has a lot of rolex watches with non rolex dials, will rolex service any of these watches? I dont think so! ebay Member ID west-sussex-watches |

IMO
The seller has declared that the dial has been refinished, pictures are not the best, the band has also been restored and now has an incorrect clasp for a 5513, and appears to be a 93150 which would be incorrect for a 1960's 5513. The claim or a 1962 watch is a little off. I have a 1.1M 5513 with a case back date of iv 64, there are lots of date charts out there, some good and some not. The reply received back from "Rolex" does not seem consistent with any reply that I have seen from Rolex, not does it quote the serial number of the watch. I would say there are a few issues here but imo the watch is not counterfeit, as always "caveat emptor" |

Too many questions and TOO expensive. You're better looking here on the forum and maybe buying a nice 5513 from Steve M or Jacek. I honestly wouldn't touch that one with a 10 foot bargepole!

Question about that watch's dial... "swiss t<25" is printed between 28-32 minute markers. Most of the 1.6mil era 5513 watches i have seen - give or take a few hundred thousand on serial - have "swiss t<25" (mine included) printed between 27-33 marks (i.e., two full second marks between the lilipops of 5hr and 7hr, not three!) As I cannot verify my watch has original dial on it, and am pretty sure it doesn't, what is the CORRECT version of this dial for this circa 5513? Production range I am looking at is 1966-67.
Thanks. |

This eBay dealer is the subject of some interesting discussion on TZ-UK at this thread.
As others have said, you may wish to exercise your prerogative to shop elsewhere.
