Who loves their Datejusts?

I know sports models are in for the last while... but who here loves their datejusts? I am planning to give my dad my Daytona and buy a datejust and will wear it with a leather strap... can you guys give me some advice on which models (vintage or modern) that looks nice w/ leather straps?

I think a 1601 looks awesome on a strap Here's my 1966.

After the overhaul on a black Rolex calf strap.

On a brown croc strap

A wrist shot

I love mine. The Sub gets all the attention on here, but the DateJust is the most classic watch Rolex makes...

I love DJs too, here are mine:

The one I sold already:

But I agree, vintage DJs look better than modern ones in straps

DateJusts are sports watches too, just not specific purpose/tool watches like the Sub/GMT/Explorer/Daytona. I like DJ as well!

My beater.

That I give some wash and care once a year.

And a I have another plastic DJ.

And a sapphire custom.

With a sunbeam dial, YM hands and a red datewheel.

Absolutely love them....

The silver dial was my first in 1986......my Rolex cherry!!!....the black dial was my second a couple of years later in 1988.....it has been passed on to my eldest son now, a Christmas present......totally blew him away....they are probably the biggest seller due to their price point in the grand scheme and their appeal to many....very much more rugged than they look....an absolute pleasure to wear.....discrete....accurate....reliable....there are not enough superlatives for these "little" superlative watches......brilliant, simply brilliant...

Been wearing this one regular, tried it on a Hirsch Sport, but decided I like the bracelet better. Hoping against hope to get my 1603 pie pan back from the AD today, and if I do the TOG will get a break.

The one I wear on a strap is a gold DJ from the 60's with gold tapestry face. Watch heads like this are not all that hard to come by and can be a pretty good bargain, too.

Dr. Robert posts a picture of his on this forum.

My favorite watch.

. I'd love a 116208. You just don't see them. And, I always know what day it is.

Absolutely love mine! It has never left my wrist aside from when I sleep. I highly recommend the DJ as a daily wearer!

I love mine, but I won't be putting it on a strap, unless something catastrophic happens to the bracelet.
