5-digits are the best! Up to 40 year old watches that still work exactly as deigned. And we can mod them. Not much opportunity for mods on the current generation of references.

glidelock

Small mod, but I put a SEL glidelock from a 6 digit on my 5 digit Kermit.

Now, you have the ultimate sub date. I have the same 97200 bracelet on my 16610LV.

I think it’s an even better configuration than the 126610, and I have one of those, too.

I did this swop yesterday, went for the 1.5mm aftermarker springbars for the LV/Jubilee option, but it was not a 100% fit. The BLRO with OEM springbars work a charm with the Oyster. Does anybody know the reference for the oyster bracelet that comes with the 116610lv, might try sourcing another one. IMG_20201227_111914_973.jpgScreenshot_20201227-112033_Instagram.jpg

The 116610lv came with a 97200 bracelet. I set up a WatchRecon alert and one came up fairly quickly. Some have gotten them straight from an AD, but generally you have to have a six digit sub to order a replacement. During the warmer months I make microadjustments several times a day with my glidelock. Good luck.

My discontinued 116610 with an OeM Hulk beZel

I think the 126610 starbuck is too overpriced, thats why i decided to use my friend's 116610LV to send it to RSC to get the new hulk bezel. And whats surprised me is that the latest hulk bezel green color almost the same color with the starbuck.

So you sent in a watch without a bezel? And they put a new one on? Can you elaborate?

Yes, i borrowed my friend's hulk, took out the bezel, and send it to RSC without the bezel, at first they want me to include the old bezel as a prove, then injust said that the bezel drop somewhere after i was drunk n hit my watch to the ground. I have to pat around usd$ 1.400 that include overhauling the watch, bezel n insert,

Expensive. But still cheaper than grey market LV.

Hmm now you got me thinking.

Did you remove just the insert or the entire bezel?

Wondering if I could convert a Sub no-date 41 to a Kermit No Date 41

I removed the whole thing bro, you cannot just remove the insert because it is different with the 16610 bezel. Once you remove the ceramic insert from the bezel, you will need loctite to attach the insert to the bezel. And fyi, the no date bezel will never fit into the sub date version,

This read to me like you got away with a crime, except instead of actually stealing something, you got away with paying money to Rolex for parts lol

I put a display caseback from Custom Watch Concepts in Germany on my 16710.

I can't feel any difference between it and the stock caseback while wearing it.

I would switch the original assembly back on before sending it in.

Yep - that too. Should be fairly easy to switch though (whole assemblies that is - not removing insert from assembly).
Then you could let whoever you want service it. This one should be good for 10-15 years if my older ones with 3135s are any indication though.
