I think he means Masterpiece... They are usually the most expensive, and the platinum presidents with diamonds..... That watch pictured for $180K is a Masterpiece model.....

Agreed....as a matter of fact, I'd even take a 38 mm DJ over any of the other models.

The 18956 BRIL Oyster II retails for C$285,570, spectacular looking watch, even IF, I can afford it, it's way too much bling for my taste.

That's the great thing about Rolex. You can have the same great movement in the lowliest model. Conversely, you could add enough precious stones to a Timex to get it up to $150 K.

IMO The most expensive Rolex should be considered the one with the highest MSRP, as the vintage models are having their value just because of their age n rarity n they were not priced highest by the Rolex. just my two cents.

Even I believe the value of that vintage Rolex must be surely the highest, I was just thinking the most expensive considering the MSRP.

Nick, I believe what your saying. I just don't like the way that watch looks. I know its historical and just a dozen. Maybe its just the picture not doing the watch justice. I could be wrong.

Sorry, but diamonds and a gold watch in one package just look tasteless and tacky to me; maybe we're a little more reserved in the UK but wearing something like that would just get you laughed at over here.
I know it's all down to personal taste but I much prefer restrained elegance over vulgar flash. Andrew |

"We is too restrained over 'ere to wear DAT!"
\ :) I have a couple of those $200K diamond watches, I just prefer my $800 DateJust. In fact, I took one of those 'Rattraprante' watches and THEN put diamonds on it. Here's the result: |

I can't argue wiht your logic there Nick! What would you rather own a piece of Rolex history or a watch so overloaded with bling that it drags your arm down?
