Value Question - 1665 Rail Dial

Hi guys,

I have been offered a nice 1665 Rail dial (5.7m serial). The dial is in a very good condition and the case back, bracelets and links all check out. The watch comes without boxes or papers.

Given i havent seen many of these for sale what would be the fair price for such a watch.

Cheers

Milan

Milan-
I know a nice one from Comexfan--aka Mark Lerman sold on Ebay last month for $9600 and it had RSC papers and confirmation on dial and watch. That was a great price though! I would say $10,500 or so. Some will say more but I think that is a fair price.

The range varies based on the condition of the parts of the watch.Case,Dial,Hands,Etc play a big role in the price. I havn't seen a decent 1 sell under $9500 in a long time. BUT IMHO a fair price is always 1 that you are comfortable with in owning the watch and not what anybody else thinks. Do your homework and know what else is out there and you will come up with your fair offer or price.

Nick my friend--you should have seen Mark's--$9600 with RSC papers confirming rail dial--that was a steal!!! I do think $10,500+ is more like it though and of course condition always plays a huge part!!
