Very Basic Question
I'm sure this is a very easy question for 90+% of TRF community - so here goes: Exactly how is a watch measurement made? 39mm, 41mm, etc. Where on the watch is this measurement made? Does it include the crown?
Just curious about this. Thanks! |

It's the case size not including the crown.

Usually we want to know the case size excluding the crown. But, this can be the width of the bezel, if it's wider than the case itself. For round watches this is easy to measure, for watches that have a different shape, it will usually be the widest measurement that is not lengthwise.

The size can seem deceiving depending on the size of the bezel.
