Rolex Oysterdate

Id like to know an experts view on this watch and authenticity by the picture. It looks good to me seller says it was his grandfathers and was going to sell it as parts but his sellers repair guy said sell it as a working watch but stem and crown may need to be replaced. But seller says keeps time and crown pulls out and winds. Any ideas about the watch and also what could be the issue for the stem and crown being replaced soon? Seller was asking 600.00 Thanks

You need better pics
You can't tell a thing from these as they are too far away to clearly see
much of anything. A picture of the movement as well would be good.

Not like its that valuable of a watch to start with.
The dial is a masonic dial, that is the only thing that may have
some value but if it was real and documented Id still just rather the dial.

What is the seller asking for the watch?

Looks like more of a headache than its worth.

If that watch is 100% authentic and has not suffered water damage and is working and the bracelet is not falling apart, then 600.00 or less seems like an ok deal to me even if it needs a complete service......assuming you like it for what it is.

Cannot really determine authenticity from that pic though.

The crown it is smooth. It is not hard to pull out. I have not used the watch it has been in a box. It belonged to my grandfather. I did wind it up to see how far off it is with another clock. I did not see much difference in the time. This is what the seller has said

The sellers repair guy said He said the stem needed to be replaced and while he was working on it you might want to replace the crown. The reason to sell it for parts was "Seller" I dont have the money to fix it and I thought it might be worth more for parts. (Seller) Like I said I dont know much about watches. The repair guy said he would rather see it sold as a working watch because it is working fine now.

Photo is really bad, but that almost looks like a "big logo" clasp.

That would be worth something...

I am thinking the watch itself may be good and not too bad for $600.

I do not like the look at all of the end pieces or the band.

I think it is just the standard jubilee that came on these watches, but it is real. Definitely worth $600.
