Just bought wife a 79174

Hi guys just bought the wifey a lady datejust 79174 jubilee band and 18kt fluted bezel for valentines. If she can put up with me for almost last 7 years she deserves it. Attached is the picture of the watch. It is brand new D serial from 2006-07 old dealer stock. I got quite a chunk off the current retail. Not sure if i got a good deal but in a few years that probably wont matter.

Great looking watch! I tried to buy the Mrs the same thing and she opted for a tennis bracelet.

Took her out for lunch yesterday. Gave her the box after lunch told her to open it. She loved it the moment she saw it. I plan to get her a diamond dial and bezel once she gets a bit tired it.

I just hope buying a new watch from old dealer stock (the watch has been sitting in dealer display since 2006 although i 40% off todays retail) does not have any negatives as far as the working condition. The warranty started as of Feb14 2011. I know the watch got a new band in 2008 or 2009 but she likes the look and bracelet of the pre upgrade better.

She'll love it. My wife was a tough convert from battery dependence when I bought her 79174 last year. She now understands my disease

Congrats to you and your wife!!

Who cares about the deal, if it makes her happy, which I suspect she will be for quite some time.

Beautiful choice!

As far as the "old dealer stock", no, no problems at all.

If it is running out of spec, RSC will request you package it up
[tamper-proof tape, USPS Registered], send it in, and they'll do a complete service.

The dealer may also offer to send it in, but why use a middleman?

Nicely done!

Gifts don't get much better than that.
