Sub-C: One long awaited acqusition!

After months of saving, researching and shopping around, I finally have acquired my brand new SubC!

While I don't have a massive collection of other high-end watches to compare it to, I bought this with the intention of it being my one and only Rolex. My daily beater that will spend 24/7 on my wrist. I know that some people believe that once you start, you can't stop, but I'm always more intrigued by the one-watch guys whose timepieces have sentimental value and stories associated with them.

With that being said, I got an excellent deal from a local AD which was recommended to me here in Phoenix/Scottsdale. Sales tax was bypassed and my price out the door was better than any TRF offers I could find brand new. Getting it insured through Jeweler's Mutual for peace of mind as well.

I absolutely love this watch. Looks great with everything, whether it's casual or business. The ceramic bezel will get daily use given my job. The upgraded casing definitely gives this watch more of a wrist presence than some of the classics that I've tried on over the last several months.

I can understand how it's not for everyone. In fact, some may say the ceramic shine is really teetering on the fence between tool vs dress watch. It definitely doesn't seem as low-key as the classic model - which is fine by me, but may not be for others.

In my opinion, this is an excellent buy. With its rich history and iconic status, you simply cannot go wrong. I'll definitely be getting my money's worth out of my SubC :)

Congrats on pulling the trigger. What a great feeling. I have some mews for you though. I was in your exact shoes 1 year ago. I spent just under $9,000 for a tt ceramic black sub. My biggest previous purvhase was $650 for a movado. Figured I was good for life....got me a beautiful rolex that I'll cherish for years and years. It's still fantastic and I still wear it every day, but recently got the itch for another. I'm now shopping for a blue one. Very close to closing the deal. Also already have plans for next years purchase!!

I bought a vintage Datejust over 15 years ago and that's been my one and only Rolex....until recently I got the bug again and just today bought a Submariner. It's been like an itch that I never scratched and now it's scratched and I feel good!

Congrats on your Sub C...

To share. I got my Sub C after a long hiatus on the Rolex brand. Shortly got an SS Daytona in less than a month. Am planning on my next purchase in which threads were posted to solicit inputs and opinions. It just nevers stop once you start :)

The Sub C is the best watch I have ever owned. All the other Rolex sport watches I have owned over the years don't even come close to the quality of the new Sub C. Huge congrats on a great purchase, enjoy it for life.

Congrats...Gorgeous Rolex you got there! I can totally relate to having a one and only watch that will be with you 24/7 on all your travels thru life. My Rolex is a Deepsea and I never take it off ever. Rolex is the most iconic Watch you can ever own. I remember reading this ad from Rolex that reads "When a Man has the World in his Hands, you'll find a Rolex on his wrist" Enjoy Your Rolex Sub...it looks great on you.
