Hi Dino

glad so see it survived. Just curious, but no mention that I can see of the floor material in your bedroom?

Is it
-Tiles?
-Timber?
-Carpeted?

Directly after dropping my GMT, it started gaining about 2 seconds per hour...I gave it to the RSC and they returned it to me a week later stating just a regulation was needed. It's been running fine ever since...actually, now that I think of it, I haven't had to reset the watch since then (aside from date flip, of course).

After full inspection and giving it a wash under the tap and a final polish... All is well and there is not one mark in sight!!!

This is a mistake I will not be making again, seen as I consider myself to be extra carful when handling my watches.

One thing which I am now worried about is did the fall shock the movement in anyway? Your thoughts would be appreciated.

Thank you guys,

Dude, that ain't sh!t what happened to your watch, listen to what happened to mine, all fact, no fiction:

GMT II 2001 model, bought new:

Dropped it no less then 3 times on hard wood floor, cement and my pool decking all from at least 5 feet.

Was wrestling with my girlfriend in the kitchen and I smacked in on the the corner of the granite counter, put a hole in the crystal, went all spider web on me.

Popped the bezel ring off no less then 3 times at work, got it caught on the same thing 3 times and it just popped off, not only the bezel, but the metal ring it sits on, I guess there is a spring or something holding the whole bezel on, makes it click when you turn it I think, I don't know what the spring does.

This watch has been all over the world, in at least 6 different oceans, tuned up on schedule every 5 years, this thing is a brutal, nuttin can destroy this watch, abrams tank could drive all over this and it would keep perfect time.

I love this watch !!

Oh, yeah, last week it fell into the sink with the crown fully out, and the sink was full of water...now that really scared me, so far , so good.

GMT II C is a tough bugger. I bet it is fine internally.

I banged the hell out of my GMTIIc against a door frame at work. I looked down and saw a deformity on the bezel; my heart stopped. I took a closer look, picked the pieces of paint off of the bezel, and went on my way.

I've smacked my GMT II c on the crystal and bezel many times with no problems at all. It's an extremely tough watch. Rolex sure got it right with the ceramic bezel, because mine still looks brand new.
