What would you do?
Hi
Currently own a GMT 16710 and a Sub 16610LV. My plan i to own just one watch in the future. I have all the inserts to both watches and even a jubilee bracelet to fit the GMT. Love both watches and get equally amount of wristtime. Question: Should I flip both and get the SubC LN? Or should I just keep one of the watches I currently own? Need help! I donīt want to do anything stupid and regret it later on of course. Is the SubC worth it? What to you guys think? |

Well the only difference main in the Sub is the maxi dial, block case, clasp, and a ceramic insert.Cannot see in any point of flipping two watches for basically something you already have. You state you love both watches then thats your answer keep them its thats simple. In your case is the Sub C worth it IMHO most definitely no.

I would keep the LV. Sell the GMT only if you must.
Best scenario, keep both.

I think the SubC is definately worth it!
I prefer the new case, bezel, bracelet, clasp, dial etc.
If I were in your position I'd go for it! Here's a couple of pics.. |

I prefer TT to SS, but i would keep the ones you have, especially the GMT.Or keep the 16710, and trade the Sub in for a Subc.

Hmm. Yes, maybe thatīs the best option.
I guess I canīt even get some cash between the trades, If I donīt get an LNIB one. Just figured I would be better off with just one watch, that it would be enough. Iīm probably in the wrong forum saying this |

Personally, I would keep the GMT and the Sub. Believe me, you will come to regret selling those watches if you love them - particularly the GMT, the like of which we may never see again.
You will get different answers from different folks, but why trade in two classic Rolex tool watches for the mishapen lumps that Rolex tool watches have now become.

Keep them both and forget about tha Subc. With the diff bezel and bracelet combinations you would be trading 8 watches for 1.

Sounds to me like you already have the best of both worlds. GMT and sub and swappable bezels...and bracelet swap? Doesn't make sense to me to get rid of them. You would be going from multiple watches with multiple looks to one watch with one look.

I guess my question to you would be why do you feel the need to only own one watch???

Good decision. Heck, I wish I could be happy with two. That's a perfectly acceptable number for a collection.

I agree with David. Keep them both. They make a perfect pair.
