Have opportunity to buy for 2000.00 want to know if it looks authintic, am going to take to AD, but thought you all would be a good judge to save 50 mile journey.... any thoughts appreciated.

Not good judge.. better go to AD... nothing beats looking at the movement and being checked by an AD... but make sure they open it up..

hmmm... pics are too low res/shaky but it looks OK for a 20 year old watch - try remove the bracelet so we can see the serial number and also the model number. also take a steady shot of the clasp so we can see the number of the bracelet

The 50 miles would seem a good "investment" when spending 2K on a watch that can have many hidden vices . A picture can help but never rule out everything . No picture can beat the expertise of a good AD .

If you are unsure, your initial reaction is correct - have a Rolex dealer check it for you. From the pics, the watch appears genuine.

Don't mean to burst anyone's bubble but the bracelet doesn't fit very well and the stones at 'X' and 'I' are a little slanted. I'd run like hell :D

A 16220 never came from the factory with that bezel or dial. Could be aftermarket or ??.
