Steinhart is being sued?
e-mail that I received today
===================== Dear friends and customers: Please let me know what you would have done in our situation... In 2005 we launched Steinhart watches and it quickly became a great success. But another big watch company felt that our name was too close to theirs and threatened us with a lawsuit. We decided not to invest hundreds of thousands of dollars to battle this law suit. With research we found the name Debaufre, when back in 1704 two brothers revolutionized watch making by being the first to implement rubies in their movements. On the 1st of July we will honor their forgotten heritage by changing our name to this and introducing our new collection. This gives a good opportunity, a close-out for the rest of our Steinhart watches, we will be offering a wonderful discount. Please ask us for the special close out availability and pricing, this is your opportunity. Thank you very much for your help and support. If you would like to read the whole story, please view this web-page: http://www.steinhartwatches.com/lp/history/Welcome.html All the best to you, Jon D. Knewitz, CEO Steinhart Watches LLC (888) 849-0929 ext 80 [email protected] www.SteinhartWatches.com

Thanks for the heads up on that Vernon. I was contemplating, but not any more.
I wonder if the court action was because it happens to be the same name as that dreadful New Zealand beer? ROFL ROFL |
