No progression here...I baby my watches from the start and have been doiong so for years..I do the same wityh all my things...I like to keep them nice and new looking..Dont get me wrong...I know how nice a worn i9n leather jacket is or a antique auto.ther scratches shoiw its history...but i ust love the look of new shiny watches...

I never really babied my Rolex, It has been worn every day since i took it out of the box. I initially wore it cautiously however. Just being mindful not to knock it into walls and scrape it against things. I would take it off any time i was going to be doing abrasive work. After it got its first major ding though, i just stopped caring. I know the RSC will make it look new again so now its just worn and enjoyed regardless.

how many of you have had this progression?
Mine was a beater from day one.
The only place I don't take it is the gym. And when I wear my dress watch.

I've had mine for two years. Similar journey to yourself.....babying it, polishing it.........now I wear it swimming (a dive watch getting wet!), cooking, doing work in the garden etc.

This is pretty much the same journey for every new item I buy e.g. a car is a similar story.

I truly appreciated my watch when it was mint. I have plenty of 'baby' pictures.

That said, I got my GMT IIc to wear every day and not to place in a curio with Swarovski sparkling crystals!!!

It's tough guys they grow up so fast.

I'm pampering myself wearing a rolex, not so much pampering the watch!

Now I don't want all of this tough talk to give you the wrong idea!

I am a gentle lover! :p

I'm mindful not to place them in situations where any heavy scratches may occur - but I don't 'baby' them.
