Need some advice noob
I previously owned a Rolex GMTii-c but unfortunately it was destroyed. I am now considered either replacing it with another or going the Panerai route. I am considering the Pam 005, 113 or 359 simply based on looks. Can someone weigh in regarding the +/- of each and what I should expect to pay? Thanks!

You'll need to look around for a bit, but here are some "rough" numbers
005 and 113 in the $3500 neighboorhood +/-300 for condition 359 goes near $6200 +/-300 for condition. You can do better or worse than that, it also depends on the seller.

May also want to look into if you want/like a 1950 case (PAM359).

Something to consider regarding the 359 is that you can advance the hour hand in one hour increments like the IIC's jump hour feature. The minute and seconds hand continues to move. Nice timezone feature.
Mine has been an outstanding timekeeper. |

Can you discuss how your GMT2 was destroyed?

Sure. My weekend toy is a Z06 and I always take off my watch before I wash it. Long story short, I placed it on the trunk of my mom's car and she drove off. I found it, but it had appeared to have been run over a couple of times. The bracelet was destroyed and the case backing was a bit scratched, but the damn think still kept perfect time! Anyway, it was a bonehead mistake on my part, but at least it was insured. Lesson learned!!

Z06
I'm turning into a Panerai convert (from Rolex) so I'm always interested in reading threads like this one, since I'm trying to figure out which model to purchase...
I'm also a Z06 fan too...Here's a photo of my Cyber Gray Z06 sitting next to a friends Viper - he really bites, since he's got a black Z06 sitting in his garage too ...

Thanks for sharing the pics. The Z06 is an awesome car. My 4 year old son is in love with the Z06 and ZR1. He likes to visit the Chevy dealership to look at the Corvettes.
