Left or right hand wear??
I'm 93% sure this is a newbie question, but I need to know: I'm right handed but have always worn my watch on the left. Since the the rolex requires active movement, should I consider wearing on my right?

Only if it's more comfortable. Normal daily activity should put you in good stead with the self-winding movement.

agreed, the self-winding movement doesn't need a tremendous amount of wrist action to stay wound... wear the watch on the side you most feel comfortable...

Newbie questions are allowed! Everyone has to start somewhere. Welcome to trf!
The posts above are right-doesn't matter, you will get more than enough movement out of your left hand so long as it is normally mobile. Cheers! |

Given you're right handed, I would wear on the left. Not because of winding potential but your left is less active and therefore less likely to involve bumps! You should see my protective pose as I walk by potentially damaging points of impact.

Unless your left hand is on a full cast that restrict movement, left hand would be fine
I'm a righty but wear my watch on my left hand.

Many used to wear on the right because the crown would irritate them. Now, we've all toughened up!

I'm left handed. I wear my watches on my left hand. When I play guitar, (left handed of course) I switch my watch to the right.

The calous on the back of my right hand from the sharp edge on the case says "it don't make no difference".
