What To Do in Las Cruces, NM?

I am headed there in the later part of next week for business and it will be my first time in NM.

Thoughts?

My suggestion after living in that area for 3 years is to take a 1/2 day go to Cloudcroft, NM, about 70 miles east, and eat some lunch at the Lodge. 8000 feet up in the mountains and beautiful in the extreme.

Well worth the trip.

As for as LC, I can't think of anything that we ever did there when we visited.

Cloudcroft Lodge. We took these a couple of years ago. If you go try the Monte Cristo Sandwich. The best I have ever had.

I agree. I grew up camping in Cloudcroft....and doing everything else there was to do there, but LC....not much going on there.

If times were different, I would suggest El Paso and Juarez, but Im not going to get any closer to the border than I have too these days.

You could always go visit "The Thing"!
While you're at it, keep driving to Tuscon.
