TT GMT Master II vs TT SS/YG Blue SubC
If you already have a SS black dial and bezel subc 116610 and would like to get a TT sports model would you go for TT GMT Master II 116713 or TT SS/YG Blue Subc 116613LB? Why?
The TT GMT Master II looks very classy but the TT blue SubC looks very different. |

If you want to add a TT to your SS sub.....then I would get the GMT (because you already have a sub and adding the GMT hand /function would be nice).
If, however, you really like the TT blue sub (but still want to have SS watch) then I would consider flipping your black ceramic SS sub for the TT blue sub....and then getting a SS GMT (116710).

I would grab the TT GMTc, not flip your Sub as you will likely lose $$$. The TT GMT looks AMAZING in person

Do you guys think a TT GMT looks quite similar to a black Subc?
I don't think I be flipping my Black SS SubC as I think its the mascot of Rolex, a must have |

Well that's completely up to you! Personally I think they are different enough, but if you want something even more different, maybe a Polar Explorer? Obviously it's not TT, but it's a different-looking sports watch.

If you can't choose, go for the one that comes up first in a better deal or price, then save for the other because you are going to want both.

Gmt..
It is a nice compliment to the SS Sub.
Different bezel, the second time zone, the TT bracelet and thicker case make it a great choice. Good luck |

I was faced with almost the same dilemma. However I did not have a Rolex or any watch before I bought my TT GMT.
Both the TT GMTII and bluesy Sub spoke to me from the AD's Rolex draw. In the end I figured that the GMTII is slightly more suitable for all occasions whereas the bluesy is certainly a more casual watch. The GMTII is also great for my industry, aviation, and is jolly handy on my travels. So I got the GMTII. However in your situation you already have a watch that is good for all occasions. So I would consider going for the bluesy to give yourself an alternative look when the time and the weather warrants it. Unless you travel extensively of course, in which case get the GMTII. |
