Cost for Rolex to exchange dial on Gold Daytona?

Anyone know the approx cost if I sent an all gold Rolex Daytona to Service Center for a different dial? Not a meteorite, but a panda or a silver dial, etc.

TIA!

Usually dials run from 150 bucks to several thousand, depending on your choice..

However, most of the time, if a watch is out of warranty, the RSC insists on a full service along with the dial change because they have to take it apart to start with.....

Good luck with your quest........

Thanks Larry. I'm just pondering a dial swap, for a panda or a white arabic dial. I see you can BUY them on the secondary market for 2-3k, but I was wondering what it would be for an exchange when getting my watch serviced.

Watch service would be near $600 and the dial would be......?????

Can anyone help here who swapped out a dial on a solid gold Daytona?

I'm pretty sure the service on a Daytona is well over 1K.

I doubt that you can get a Daytona-RSC service for $600. I would have thought closer to $1,000. I would expect a Daytona dial to be expensive and not close to $150.

Meteorite Dial would be the best choice!

I'm not concerned with Service costs. I would like to know if anyone has swapped a Daytona dial before on a solid gold model. Not the Meteorite as I know it is more $$$ and plus it isn't my cup of tea.

I doubt it will be $150; I had a Lady's DJ dial just changed and the cost was $315 for a basic stick dial. The also charged $85 for a hand set plus full service bring the tab to just under $1K. I had a DD dial changed a few years back and the cost was $270 + full service.

It's my understanding from talking to a local AD that they will only change to a dial that was originally available for the model you have as well.

My guess is that Daytona service is around $800 +/-

Understood, that is what I'm going for. The boring white dial with silver arabics to a WG Panda. Only available on solid WG models.

RSC Dallas serviced my stainless Daytona about 2 years ago and it was $855. I also had new luminous hands installed. They wanted to charge me for a set of WG subdial hands and I said no way. They don't have lume and they look just fine. They overbuffed the bezel and wore away some of the enamel tach markings, making them even harder to read.

The US service center will only swap it if it was available on that watch. The Panda was only available on the WG strap. Although RSC in Toronto will do for $450 plus a required $750 service.

it may cost the same to sell your current Daytona & add the difference for a pre owned with the dial you want...

BINGO!!!!! Thanks so much! And yes, I'm looking at the strap model. I might have a deal on this watch.
