explorer II favor
I am considering a EXpII would anyone be so kind as to measure in MM,the diameter of the "dial", not the case which is 40mm. I need to know this dimension from the 3 to the 9 not including the rim which says Rolex on new versions... thanks for the trouble in advance...this would be only the black or white face portion.

I'm assuming you meant the diameter of the saphire crystal, it measures 30mm.

Hello John,
I'm +9 hours from you so I assume someone will answer your question before I do. If not, I'll be glad to measure my ExpII dial as you requested. If I understand your question, you want the inside diameter of the rehaut ("the rim that says Rolex on new versions"). Do you mind me asking why?

Explorer II's, Sub Dates, GMT's all use the same crystal and are all the same 30mm..

It seems to me that the other responders to your post did not fully read your question. Either that or you asked the wrong question At any rate, you asked for the diameter of the dial NOT including the rehaut. Everyone is telling you that the crystal is 30mm in diameter which is correct. Without taking the watch apart, using a 2 1/2 loupe the measurement you are looking for 28mm. I hope this helps.
