Icon5 Real or Fake

Sorry if this post is in the wrong place or not in line with policies, but I am brand new and have specifically registered to ask just this one question.

This watch is from my father's estate and I know nothing about it except what I see. I am suspicious that this is a replica because ....

made in Hong Kong
no model #
no serial #

There are no markings of any sort on the rear of the watch.

All of dad's watches (he had others) would be anywhere from (very roughly) 10 to 30 years old. The print at the bottom of the face, in case you can't read it from the photo, says ...

1000FT - 300M
SUPERLATIVE CHRONOMETER
OFFICIALLY CERTIFIED

and then in the very bottom HONG KONG.

Would appreciate any comments or opinions.

I'm sorry for your father's passing.

However, that watch... it's not even close. Wow.

I'll say this, it looks pretty worn, so I guess he enjoyed wearing it.

Don't think anyone was joking about the death of OP's dad.

My comment was not a joke. I don't care what other people wear. The watch is well used, be must have liked it. Good for him for enjoying it. There are many people who don't seem to actually wear and enjoy their watch collections around here.

Of course it's fake. But like Dr. Brian says. He looks as if he enjoyed wearing it and that is what counts most.

Horrendous.

Did the Rolex crown placed over the 12:00 marker give you a clue?
