A hybrid powered OysterQuartz. It's battery is recharged using a small generator attached to a rotor from an autowinder.

It's really good to see you posting JJ!
As for your question, I think it might be some time before Rolex rolls out a radically new model. They'll tweak some existing ones by upsizing or adding ceramic/new clasps but a completely new model? I doubt we'll see any at Basel 2012. Looking forward to your next 70,000 posts ! |

What a great idea. But your correct. They probaly would not do that and take away sales from to other popular models.

Now that the slow selling Explorer II is 42mm I am positive that the ym will go 42 as well. Rolex can't change the shape of the elegant case as it defines this watch so it will have to go 42 instead.

1. Daytona with ceramic bezel and more dial options for the RG version.
2. SUB ND C 3. More Serti dials for the C subs and HOPEFULLY the GMT line.

I think a blue bezel SS Sub C would rock. Maybe Rolex could do limited editions like Panerai. Or more likely work on the Pepsi GMT II C!
