Little PAM knowledge needed
Looking at my first PAM either the 104 or 312. I know the difference in the Case, movement, etc. Can someone explain the series, IE:M,K,etc to what yr the watch was manufactured.??
Thanks for all the great info!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

I am not sure on specific production dates, but the 312 is relatively new in the past couple years, the 104 has been around longer.
As for other specs. 104: 44mm luminor case automatic movement with date and magnification. Watch case is also all polished. 312 is the 44mm 1950's style case, there is a difference, it is more of a cushion style. It has a brushed case but a polished bezel. Also has date but no magnification. Also automatic movement but I think it might be an in house 3 day reserve. Both have sub seconds dials at 9 o clock. 312 is more expensive. 312 sits higher on the wrist and has see through caseback. that is all I can think of off the top of my head. |

The Lettering system began back in 1998 with A. Anything before that is called Pre-A or Pre-Vendome. So, A was 1998 B was 1997 yada, yada. In J (2007) the 104 was upgraded to the quick strap change system, so all J,K,L,M 104's have the same quick strap change system as the 312 does. So, short answer J - 2007 K - 2008 L - 2009 M - 2010 N - 2011

What they said, and more importantly, despite all these "technical knowledge", you'll need to see which of those two will fit you best. :)
