New To Forum and looking at Rolex

I'm new here and was looking at a Rolex that I am hoping to purchase. Just had some question from the members that know them.

I am looking at a two tone 15003, and I included pictures below.

Just wondering some details about this watch like age, movement

What is the history for this style. Is it a good reliable watch?

I had some concerns about the Acrylic crystal. All of my watches have saphire crystal and concerned about the acrylic scratching to easy. Do they scratch easy like cheap watches mineral crystal?

Also, It has the original Rolex Jubilee band (Model 62523H. 18) Are these solid gold links or layed? Will it rub off over time?

Any idea what movemnet it has? Does it have quick date set?

Thanks for the help

The crystal will scratch, but you can polish it right out. You have a price settled on it? The Date is not the biggest seller, especially in two-tone, make sure you don't overpay just because of the brand.

They are asking 2250. I don't know if it is too much or not. It seems to be about normal. Any idea? Oh I forgot to ask, would a datejust model 1601 all SS and 18K bezel be more desirable. I like this one too. Which would be better for my one and probable only Rolex.

I like TT models myself but dont get put of by people saying its very 80's so the way to go is SS. As said, it's what you like that counts.

I like them both very much. I like the DateJust because they have put a saphire crystal on. Both has had recent service.

My only fear on the TT is the gold wearing off, does if wear off the band or is the gold solid on the band?

If there was a chance the gold is going to wear off I would take the DateJust. I like TT only if it is solid gold and not coated gold.

Would 2200-2300 be fair for either of these two?

Thanks for the help.
