YG DayDate Questions?

Thanks for all the great info on this site it really helps when trying to decide on your first Rolex. I've read all the stickies and posts regarding the DD and have the serial number ranges for the years and understand Rolex makes watch cases before they assemble them all so serial numbers don't always mean the year that Rolex actually sent the new product to dealers.

I do have a few questions about the dial and serial number dates.

First, what year did the hour sticks on the champaign dial on the YGDD get the lume put on them instead of just plain gold sticks?

Second, has anyone seen any serial numbers on YGDD with the "G" or Random Serial numbers on them. I've only been able to find "M" YGDD new at ADs.

I know, dates don't matter when buying new,

Thanks!
Bob
