How can I tell what year my watches are? Looking to buy or trade up for a Daytona

I have had a Datejust & Explorer II for a few years now. Looking for a watch that is both casual and dressy. The Daytona has always been my favorite watch of all time. How should I go about selling or trading my watches? If there is a previous thread I missed please let me know.

When selling how can I determine the year?

Model: Explorer II, White Face, 16570

Model: Datejust, Black face w/diamonds on hours, SS, w/white gold, Jubilee bracelet new style, 116234

I have all the boxes and paperwork as well.

Would appreciate some tips.

Thanks!

If you are planning to sell on Trf you'll need 16 posts. I can see you joined in 2007 so you definitely have the 16 days also required!

Have a look at the info sellers have posted in that section. This will tell you most of what you need to know.

Usually it's just the series/ date of purchase that's needed in terms of age.

Please read the selling rules clearly.

I have also moved this thread to the correct forum.

Not trying to sell yet. Just gathering information so I know what I'm doing when it comes time to sell. Thanks for the info.

Since you have the paperwork of your watches, I don't understand why ur asking about determining the production year?

Is the year listed on the docs? Even better.....Guess I missed it. Had been awhile since I looked at the certs. The serial numbers were handy since I had given that info for my insurance.

Year of production is not listed on the documents... only the date of sale..
