My 231 has the 6497 ETA movement and is 45mm diameter.
The 336 has the P 999 manual in-house movement with a 60 hour power reserve, is 42mm diameter x 13mm thick and it has the seconds hand. The 231 is the same thickness @ 13.2mm thick by my calipers. IMO this will appeal to more buyers as being a more comfortable size on the wrist. I am seriously looking at one. The rose gold on both models is excellent.
