I'm in heaven

I’m a new member who has been lurking for a couple weeks. Really appreciate the info here. I’ve officially designated 2011 as my year of Rolex. Picked up the Sub C and really thought nothing would top the two tone GMT master IIc I then got. But the two tone Date Just 2 I got today frankly slays them both. I am officially in love and these pics in crappy lighting don’t do this watch justice.

Mine says Hi.

Great Choice, Congrats.

My favorite part is the way the bezel relects the light.

Between the gray dial and the ivory dial/baton lumed markers. I'm a sucker for lume. But decided on something a bit different. Now if I get another one, not ruling that out BTW, it will be the ivory/lumed batons.

That's a very cool watch. The green Romans add a unique bit of character to an already great watch. I like how the baton at nine nicely offsets the date.

Congrats!

When I first saw that style of dial, I really wasn't convinced, but then I tried on the white Rolesor Datejust II with both that dial and a blue baton dial...and the Roman dial is by far the better on it.

The baton dial gets lost in the bigger case and just looks too plain. However, despite loving the watch, it's not going to be my next purchase!

That was exactly my concern when I kept alternating the gray/romans dial with the ivory/batons.

Good looking DJII! Which gets the most wrist time? The SubC or the GMTIIC?

This dial is interesting, but I don't like that it doesn't have any depth to it. The numbers just look painted on... Congrats on your watch though and wear it in good health!!!

That DJ II is on about 4 billboards I have seen and I find myself being a really bad driver when I pass it. What a great special edition!!!
