Can someone explain a "rail" dial over a regular dial?
Thanks

The words are center justified like you could drop a rail down the middle and the words would line up with it. Ugh thats a terrible description, here's a pic :)

There are Rail Dial's in other Rolex references as well. The 1655 Explorer II has a Rail Dial version that is very rare. My avatar is an example of this one. The Explorer II that came after the 1655 is another example.

I've been working long hours lately. That was funny...made me laugh and brought a smile to my face on a very busy day. Thanks.

Here's my 1971 Date with the c's lined up. No T Swiss T <25 writing and not a sporty so it probably doesn't count as a 'rail dial'?
