Just found out I will be getting another "grail" of mine this week; SeaDweller "Z" series. I AM SOOO STOKED! Just thought I'd boast a little...

Anyone else own this one?? Thoughts on the SD??

I have the M series and really like it ...alot. I like the fact that it feels more substantial on the wrist than the classic Sub or GMTII. The deeper bezel and grooves catch the light better. Therefore I think it sparkles more, which is nice IMO. Congrats!

V series here, one of ten (last batch) for Canada, love it

recently acquire its big brother DSSD, love it also

SD wears more comfortable as its less weight, also SD wears better with dress shirts.

I've had two Brandon......and my first was a Z serial SD!
Unfortunately I sold it, then only to re-acquire 4 months later as an F model....After that flip, I've vowed to never flip again....I haven't!!

The SD is a fantastic watch...It's extremely well balanced on the wrist, and has a commanding presence. With it only being slightly taller in proportion to the Sub Date, there is no reason to worry about size or weight.

Yes the SD is my own personal favourite sports Rolex and not altered a lot since its introduction in 1988/9.A few font changes different case stamps and thats about it,and just like the classic subs, the SD has quite a bit of Rolex history.

I bought it from my dearly departed mate JJ a few years ago.

He ALWAYS regretted selling it

A LOT of M serials out there! I have been lusting after a more modern Submariner/SD for awhile now, and I think I really nailed what I was looking for by picking up this Z serial. Starting falling for the "no lug holes" Rolex lines in recent times, but can still definitely appreciate oldschool Rolex sport watches.

I anxiously await my SD/Z. I will definitely post some pictures when I get it in. I probably won't be able to stop looking at it!

My favorite Rolex sport watch followed with a close second by a polar Exp II.

For me, it is not about series, but features of design changes. Anything from F on is going to be the same design with the no hole cases. Before that lug holes, and mid-way into P you have the non Solid end links (SEL). I do not mind holes, but really prefer the SEL bracelets.

The M is better then Z, and Z is better then D is really like saying serial number 9 is better than serial number 2. It depends on the quality and care given the watch more then age. I've seen some beat up M's and some pristine F's.

Not on the SD its had a SEL bracelet since the 1980s only differnce in any SD since introduction of the cal 3135 in 1988/9.Is now a non lug hole case and a few fonts and different case stamps. .

It arrived... Met the Postman like a giddy school-boy. This thing is ridiculous. Judging from the build of this timepiece, mixed with all of your great feedback, I'm pretty dead-set on never getting rid of this beauty.
