Why Large Variances in Price for DD YG President
Considering getting myself a YG DD for myself as a 30th birthday present to myself.
Been looking on the resale forums as well as Ebay and I noticed a variance of $8000-$17000 for this watch when it comes to those made from 1995 -2006. Is there any reason for the huge difference in pricing--the design looks to be unchanged throughout these years. Is the only thing that effects price the condition of the band and the number of scratches/last time it was serviced? I find the pricing for used Daytona's alot more consistent when looking at the YG. Any help would be greatly appreciated! |

Newer ones from 2002 upwards have the heavier bracelet thus more gold and that means more.
New clasp design too. |

bracelet
The bracelet change was a significant increase in the amount of gold used. Once you're into the 90's versions, I think you've got most of the watch improvements (quickset and sapphire). Also, with DD's the condition of the bracelets is often the price difference.

The answer depends on if I am buying or selling.
Seriously, it is neither price-wise... just fewer potential buyers.
