Why Large Variances in Price for DD YG President

Considering getting myself a YG DD for myself as a 30th birthday present to myself.

Been looking on the resale forums as well as Ebay and I noticed a variance of $8000-$17000 for this watch when it comes to those made from 1995 -2006.

Is there any reason for the huge difference in pricing--the design looks to be unchanged throughout these years.

Is the only thing that effects price the condition of the band and the number of scratches/last time it was serviced?

I find the pricing for used Daytona's alot more consistent when looking at the YG.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Newer ones from 2002 upwards have the heavier bracelet thus more gold and that means more.
New clasp design too.

does the bark command a premium, or is it a detriment?

The bracelet change was a significant increase in the amount of gold used. Once you're into the 90's versions, I think you've got most of the watch improvements (quickset and sapphire). Also, with DD's the condition of the bracelets is often the price difference.

Seriously, it is neither price-wise... just fewer potential buyers.
