Decisions decisions decisions
I really like these old style dressier watches and this one is at a decent price. No original papers but an authenticity certificate is supplied and has just been serviced and cleaned. Circa 1977....a good year for me What do you think? Or should I save the cash and put it together with my ss sub for a future deal on a tt blue sub. btw...it has plexi glass. is that any good????? cheers guys |

The style of dial looks a little too old to be 1977. A 1977 dial for a 1601 did not have the chapter ring, but have minute and 1/2 minute markings, like this:
Plexi glass is very good, but it will scratch, but you can polish those scratches out yourself. Note: look at the bracelet, the links look very stretched indicating a worn bracelet. So be careful |

Thanks for the info by the way BTW.. it is a 16013 model and could it possibly have had a new dial face at some time? |

It looks good to me! And IMHO, the bracelet does NOT look stretced. The links are just a bit far apart because the watch is resting on an expanding clear plastic watch rest. As stated above, Plexi does scratch easily, but you can polish it yourself with PolyWatch.

AS long as it's all real Rolex I say go for it. Sure like my '86 DJ.
Good luck, dP
