Any idea of service costs?.....

Hello everyone here on TRF! Over the years I've read how expensive it can be.....and how long it can take.....to have even basic service work done on some pieces like Patek. This got me thinking about my small collection when it's time.

Hence my question to all of you. Anyone have an idea what cost I may be looking at when it comes time to service the following pieces:

1. Cartier Roadster Chronograph in steel

2. AP Royal Oak in Rose Gold

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide!

An easy way to find out would be to call the AD and ask?

Keep in mind as with Patek and Rolex service costs could vary depending on the actual watch. A less complictaed watch would be less compared to one with more complications for instance.

I think ROOC's run around 1500. Check out AP's site. They have an entire section dedicated to talking about servicing and what you get.

I'm guessing the cartier would be around $600. My tanc francaise cost 400 something, non-chrono.

Will check it then. Anyway is RO and ROO the same price to service?

I would suspect less for the RO. I know someone who service their SS ROOC for $1500.

$9-1200 for a Royal Oak if a non-chrono.

I live minutes away from AP service center..

Last I checked, a service is around 1,400 +. That is of course if you don't need a bezel replacement which can run an additional 2k. Ouch..

For a rose gold chronograph, that could be the case. On a time/date watch, service is less, and a SS or Rubber Clad bezel is also less.

Always best to check directly for the sake of accuracy.

I was just speaking from personal experiences with my APs.
