I support that policy as well. Most Rolex watches sold never needed warranty service and the warranty is for 2 years anyways so voiding the warranty is really not a big deal for those who like their watches to look different.

I disagree with Rolex's policy. I don't see PVD or even adding a diamond bezel as really a "modification," at least not one that affects functioning. Would they refuse to service Jocke's Yachtmaster solely because it has a red date wheel, or one of the many watches featured here where the owner has swapped out a Yachtmaster clasp for a Daytona one?

It seems akin to Mercedes or Toyota to refuse to change the oil or even do transmission work on one of their cars that was painted a color not offered by them (e.g. turquoise) and had aftermarket chrome rims.

Maybe Rolex should consider doing their own PVD treatment on watches. Clearly there is a market for it.

I bet Professor Green is devastated.

Lily Allen gave him this as a gift after they worked together on a song.

voiding a warranty is fine and reasonable.

refusing to work on a modified watch is dumb and aggressive. just wait until Rolex goes through some lean years and they will be willing.
