Phil Mickelson in a Submariner

From todays press conference at The Open:

Unusual for him. He usually wears a Rolex with a strap.

I thought he was in an actual Sub, instead of wearing a Sub.

Good PIC, thanks for sharing.

Great gig, he is sponsored by Rolex. So the watches are supplied to him AND he gets paid to wear it.

No, actually I saw her in Vegas when I went to see Pauls concert last month.

Awesome concert.

I'm a huge golf fan and I usually see him with a Cellini. He is one of the few golfers that actually play in a watch. I take my SDDS to the club but it gets left in my locker. Can't play golf in that watch.

lugs are too narrow for it to be a SubC but it looks tall so my guess is DSSD.

For being one of the better amateur golfers (over 35 for the sake of full disclosure) in my area I qualify for an allotment of free gloves and balls from a major manufacturer (can't say which one but rhymes with "itleist"!) and it is like Christmas to me when that shipment shows up every spring!

How great would it be to, every so often, have a box/case/crate containing a SELECTION of new Rolex watches and a nice check for wearing them show up at your door?? Wow...can you imagine?!?

From my viewing experience, Phil wears his Cellinis while playing and then switches to a bracelet Rolex as soon as his round ends. Often his choice is a Platinum D-D.

phils watch

Phil Michelson is wearing a strap watch today. I also thought he normally wears a Cellini.
Darren Clarke is playing well wearing his AP. Looks like its going to be his first open.
