New Member From New Orleans
Hi All,
I started being a WIS when my grandfather willed me his pocket watch in the 80's: I then started semi-collecting them on a "cool factor". Not really caring if it had collector value. Unfortunately, I killed them as soon as I got them because my jobs have always been field service, and I sort of bang them around a bit. Even though I'd love a Submariner or a Seamaster, I'd rather first, find a WWII era watch to fit a band that my grandfather willed me as well. He said got the markers from a downed aircraft and someone else made the band. I don't know what was on there initially, but I'm hoping someone here can help with that. The band width is around 25mm at the attachment points. I asked someone (Japanese) once if they could read it but he said it was in Chinese. If anyone could translate it I would appreciate it. Thanks, Tim Last edited by b06tmm; 4 July 2011 at 05:53 AM.. Reason: Markers |

Thanks all!
Don't mind the Timex Explorer on the right, I've already killed a few of those. Also, the Seamaster look alike is actually a Citizen that i killed a few years back. I'm rough on watches but I can't leave the house without one on, I feel naked otherwise. Tim |
