Lady Sub?
Hi Guys,
Do you think Rolex will ever make a Lady Submariner? I notice that there aren't any sport models for women, and I personally think we look silly wearing a huge Submariner or Explorer II. I'm tall, and still think a large watch like that would look silly on my 6" wrist. That being said, I don't even know if I'd be interested in a sport watch, but thought it would be interesting to speculate. |

There is a women's sport model -- the Ladies Yachtmaster!

I've see a couple of female celebs sporting Submariners. I think they look pretty cool on a woman. Maybe not your "everyday' watch but a cool conversation piece.

Carolina, are you sure you wouldn't want to give the Sub a try?
I did and I've never looked back... |

Karis has a pretty thin wrist and her Sub looks great!
If you're really interested in a Sub I don't think you can go wrong, Carolina, especially if you're tall. I've seen plenty of pics of female celebrities rocking the full-size sub and it looks great. It's actually very much en vogue for ladies to wear a full-size gentleman's watch.

What about the mid-size Oyster with the Explorer dial?

Thanks! Ha, I bet your hubby would go after it! Luckily mine isn't crazy about the cyclops so he's looking into a Sub No Date 14060M.

For the life of me I can't remember the model number, but I think JJ might. I've seen it close up and it looks pretty damned good.

You're right, James. I think his sister, Nina, bought one with the salmon dial the last time she visited him in NZ. He probably still has some pics of it.

Carolina - It's not a sub but the 35mm YM is a great size for a lady. Check out this one

The Tudor Mini-Sub rocks! One of my best friends has one. Good looking watch that you don't see everyday!

That is why you should buy him a Sub Date and you can have yourself a No Date Sub, which is 1 mm smaller too. Perhaps it will suit you better at 39mm and you can anytime ask the date to your husband.

I think a big watch looks classy on a Lady .... and sexy on a woman ..
A midsize 34mm DJ in ss with fluted bezel, white dial, Romans and the new Jubilee, would be one of the nicest.I find the normal sized DJs for the Ladies,a tad small. The same in TT,also nice if you like YG.The YMs are also nice at 35mm but its $$$.The OPs or Dates, in the right configuration, also a good choice. The take home message .... rather too big, than too small. |

I think mid-size DJ looks stunning on a lady if she has a small wrist. However, I think it is cute and sexy for a lady wearing oversized watch. Nice sub and diamond, Karis.

The ONLY Lady's sports watch made by Rolex is the YM....and it does come in a lady's 29 mm size as well as the 35 mm mid-size. The men's model is 40 mm in diameter.
The YM is simply a blinged up Sub, but a beautiful watch nevertheless. Try one out at your AD - you won't be disappointed, Carolina. JJ My wife's 29 mm Lady YM!!

JJ, that is the ideal watch for a lady IMHO.
The Sub is just too big for a 6" wrist. My daughter said she would have to wear it half way up her arm! Following fashion trends by chics wearing men's watches is OK for the photo shoot etc. but in terms of everyday wear I think they look a bit silly. The mid size YM is the right pick. |

my wife's LS along with my full size TS: 39mm and 26mm diameter

The one pictured above is 29 mm, still the largest Ladies Rolex. The mid-size is 35 mm - nice watch on certain sized wrists, but resale on the 35 mm sucks big time.

I've always preferred larger watches. I think my favorite size is 36mm, which is why I LOVE the DJ line. I don't even see wearing these as 'weird' since I've gotten used to it. Can't even wear a 34mm - I"ve tried it and it just felt a tad small. My limit is 40mm though which still leaves the rest of the sports models in consideration |
