Would this get me thrown out of vintage world

Hi, was looking at the 16800 matte dialled sub & the 16660 matte dialled SD, just wondering if that would get me thrown out of vintage world:). Would you consider them vintage and are they rare/unique enough to be classed as such?

Thanks

I don't think they are vintage yet.

Where do we vote Ken?

A matte 16800/16660, despite the sapphire crystal, IMO is vintage enough to be very tasty!

Vintage of course. Not in production anymore and equipped with a matte dial. Sapphire and matte dial : the best of the 2 worlds ? ;)

My 16800 is really pushing the bounderies then.... it's been extremely disrespectful to its vintage cousins and has even gone a step further.....indeed, so far as to wear gold lume surrounds with its sapphire crystal. I have had words but it just won't listen

As a result, its been locked up in a darkened place for the last 25 years as penance and has finally lost its gloss face and now has to wear orange as a reminder of its impudence Vintage as far as I'm concerned.

Thanks She's referred to as "tango" for obvious reasons And took a long time and a lot of arm twisting to get her previous owner "Alanski" to release her into my care.

Very lucky Ken.... as I'm not sure I would want to be up against you in the "deep pocket" stakes ....particularly when it comes to watches if your existing stable of absolute wonders is anything to go by

Whether vintage or not, I find the sapphire&matte Subs to be very very nice watches.

IMO, if it has a matte dial, then it qualifies as vintage. Think about it... Right now some of these watches are 30 years old. In 20 years are you going to say they aren't vintage because of a sapphire crystal?

I even tend to consider Rolex equipped with trit dials as vintage watches

Sport watches equipped with matte dial and no metal surrounds of the 5 minute markers are definitely vintage in my book.
