Rolex made on your b-day???

Anyone have a Rolex that was made the same day that you were born??? If so how did find info that it was made at the factory on the same day you were? is there such a way to find out from Rolex by serial #'s or will they not disclose or even have that info?

Just asking because I want a Sub or Exp that was made the same day I was born.

Thanks!

Finding out date your Rolex was assembled you have no chance as I dont believe Rolex discloses this. However, you will be able to tell the year due to serial number.

Yea, I flipped a 16800 5.4mil serial that i shared the same year with. But, it would be cool to have one that shared the same bday. Oh well!

Even if it would be possible (we all know, that it isn't) to determine the milestones of your Rolex by day, which date would be relevant?

The day, when the first component has been made (dial, hands, gaskets, bracelet, case movement screws etc...)
The day, when the movement has been assembled in the factory
The day, when the regulation of the movement started
The day, when the regulating has been finished
The day, when it has been shipped out to the COSC?
The day, when the COSC testing began
The day, when it has passed the COSC test
The day, when it has been returned to Rolex
The day, when it has arrived back at Rolex
The day, when it has received dial and hands
The day, when the movement has been put into the body
The day, when it's finally complete with it's bracelet
The day, when it has passed quality checks
The day, when it has been boxed ready for shipping
The day, when it has been shipped off to the national Rolex Center
The day, when it has arrived there
The day, when it has been shipped out to the Rolex AD
The day, when it has arrived there

I sold a 16750 BP to someone born the day the certificate was filled in and therefore the day the watch was sold. Only solution to get a day precise date. Otherwise you can only refer to the serial number but of course it is less accurate

I would settle for the day it was fully assembled and case back put on and closed. Not all Rolexes were COSC Certified back then.

Should have known you were German! Just by looking at that huge check list you gave me, all you need to do now is put a stamp next on each one! ... Haben Sie vielen Dank

Very dificult if not impossible to determine. Besides a lot of the parts they assemble to make a watch are made on differrent days.

Not quite true all you could ever find out from all these Internet codes that are pure guess work. As Rolex has never made available any official codes for dateing any of there watches. All these codes can tell us was a approximation when a case or clasp was stamped. Sometime between X&Y years nothing more, and not when a fully assembled watch was shipped from factory for sale to AD..

I was more trying to give evidence, that the making of a watch is a process, which obviously takes a few months because there are several steps to finish.

Bitte, jederzeit gerne!

I would think it would be cool to have the original purchase date from the AD showing your birthday! I would love to have a 1970 Red Sub!

Also made in different factories in different countries.(you didnt hear that from me) Thats why you see these... "e.g." Dials (stick dial, 1000ft=300m, etc), bezel inserts(flat 4 font, lighter color green LV, etc), Date wheel (ll, II, etc) etc... But not all the same, very close that most people cant tell... My family use to run and own several industrial factories and they'll tell you the same thing just looking at a product. That it most likely may have not come out from the same factory just looking at the little inconsistencies.

If it was my birth date it would be a sun dial. Did Rolex ever sell sun dials?

I am not that old - yet!!
