Original(?) Submariner print ad?

For what it's worth, came across this file online, and realized it may be the first Submariner ad, published in National Geo in 1954. If of interest or new info to forum, great. If not, sorry for any duplication of previously posted information and bogus new thread. The ad copy itself is just great, I think:

I have no idea if this is the "first" or not. Nor do I care. It's an awesome ad!

This might get more attention the the General Rolex section.

No not quite, it's a DSS with a turn-o-graph bezel, the artist chose to draw it that way

This was an advert pre. Submariner, Rolex had applied for the patent for Submariner, alongside a few other similar sounding names but they had not been granted, that why it's only an artist's impression.
