1958 Omega Seamaster
I found this 1958 Omega Seamaster on Craigslist. The guy selling it wants $300. I haven't seen it in person, as the gentelmen selling it lives over an hour away. I figured I would post this to get some opinions on whether it's real or not. The pictures weren't too great but I spoke to the seller on the phone and he said it is keeping good time and that is was recently serviced. He said it has an automatic 20 jewel movement. What do you guys think? Should I go for it or let it be?

Go for it. But make sure to authenticate it first.

Take it to an AD with him. If he objects it's fake. If he doesnt then either way you will be covered. You will then get the truth.

That's a good price. As to whether it's real or not, I highly doubt they'd fake $300 watch, especially one with limited appeal.

Yeah looks good to me, my guess is that it has a Cal. 501 in it. Can't tell if it's a redial or not though.
